About
Welcome to my boutique and thank you for browsing through !
My name is Siana and I am excited to have this opportunity to share my expressions with you. I do non tradiional Saori Hand Weaving and it's become my quiet passion to enjoy the freedom of expression this type of weaving offers me.
It is weaving without rules or restrictions, to develop ones own personality and express individual creativity where there are no rules, flaws or errors. There are no imperfections in a Saori woven cloth, making no two ever the same. You will see uneven selvages, different colour and fibre combinations within one piece, making every piece unique.
I live in British Columbia, Canada, in a remote mountainous region called the Cariboo, in a log home overlooking a serene lake. Living here in a remote area with all of nature is my inspiration to create. After following many paths over the years, now my main focus is hand weaving and hand embroidered cards. I have, on invitation, enjoyed displaying my works at regional art galleries and taking my Saori Loom to craft fairs to demonstrate and teach this Free Style method of weaving which most people find exciting.
Have a wander through; you'll likely find something here that calls out to you.
I am a member of the :
